Today on my instastories I shared about finding your tribe. This man is chief of my tribe. 🥰❤️ I have no clue what I would do without my husband. ❤️ I know God heard the prayers of a young high school girl. “Lord guide my future husband.” Every time he travels for work, the Lord allows me time to reflect on the blessing that he is. The humor and love that he brings to our family. The safety and protection that he provides, not only of our home but of the hearts of my children. These little girls of mine have a true hero in their dad. He has taught them to love fiercely and forgive often. My son is being raised by a Godly man who humbly walks beside the Lord..aware of the greatest of God. #blessed #blessedlife #marriage

Happy Mother’s Day! May we champion all the women in our lives who seek to mother us through their gifts of friendship, wisdom and grace. ❤️

Photo credit: @merry_flynn My girlfriend @merry_flynn and I put on a retreat for some high school girls yesterday. This retreat stemmed from a @walkingwithpurpose_official class that she taught at our local co-op. After asking me to come and speak with the girls for a couple different classes, we realized that God had plans for our friendship and ministry. 🕊Every class was never long enough to speak into their worth, how loved they are. The Holy Spirit started planting the seeds in both of us. They were watered by the girls who committed to whatever we were willing to pull together. These girls were hungry for their faith and the fellowship of girlfriends. We allowed the girls to invite a few friends if they wanted, so everyone felt comfortable sharing and being vulnerable. 🕊Satan tries to have these girls hold private conversations in their minds about each other, building obstacles not bridges, before words are ever exchanged. He feeds off their insecurities and makes them doubt the beauty of who they are and the gifts they have to offer. 🕊However, the Holy Spirit builds easy, sturdy bridges that can last a lifetime. Our job....to help them open the door of their hearts....to give him permission. Hearts ready, hands open to receive. 15 teens did this yesterday in the midst of girlfriends that they could be friends with for life. Pray with me today, that these teens continue to unpack the Lord’s gifts for them and rest in their belovedness. His Will be done! ❤️

He appears on the shore as they are fishing, and they recognize him. Peter jumps from the boat into the water while the others wait for the boat to come ashore. Can you imagine Peter’s heart? Yearning for restoration. Yearning to be in the presence of pure love. One more hug. One more anointed time in His presence. The Lord, in His goodness,comes to Peter. The good shepherd is always drawing us to Himself. He knows that we need him. We need restoration from this draining world and from our own sinfulness. How beautiful that he meets us where we are...in our cubicle, at our desk, in the laundry room, wherever our “ordinary”is. In our @walkingwithpurpose_official study (Touching the Divine)this year, I learned the beauty of Jesus asking Peter three times if he loved him. Jesus was restoring Peter. He was allowing him to announce three times his love before others. Whereas his betrayal of Jesus was crushing for Peter, Jesus uses this time to restore Peter. Peter, unlike Judas, does not fall into despair, but clings to the hope that Christ offers. Jesus reaches out to Peter to remind him that his plan is not finished. His death and resurrection was not the whole story...he isn’t done with us yet. Our story is meant to be one where we walk with Jesus through the Holy Spirit. When we have times in our lives when we feel like we are drowning, look up to Him who loves you. He is there with his saving hand to pull you up and restore you. You are His beloved.
